For the name Outsider Art or called also Art Brut, we have our own name: ITE-art. ITE means “Self Made Life” when translated from Finnish. In the community of Nurmijärvi where I live, there is a small hill called Taabor. During summer there is open air summer theatre, open air museum and exhibitions of different art. In 2010 there was Outsider art exhibition which could be seen among trees in the woods.

My 17 first photos present museum houses (inside / outside). The rest of photos show Outsider art between the trees.

Para el nombre Arte marginal hemos nuestro propio nombre que se llama: Arte de ITE. ITE significa “Vida Hecha sí Mismo” cuando se traduce del finlandés. En la comunidad de Nurmijärvi donde vivo, hay una pequeña colina llamada Taabor. Durante el verano allí hay teatro de verano al aire libre, museo al aire libre y exposiciones de artes diferentes. En 2010 hubo una exposición de Arte marginal que se podía admirar entre los árboles en el bosque.

Mis primeras 17 fotos Vos muestran el museo con algunas casas desde dentro y desde fuera. El resto de mis fotos muestran fotos de Arte marginal entre los árboles.

Pour le nom l’Art Outsider nous avons notre propre nom qui est appelé: ITE-art. ITE signifie “Vie Fait Soi-même” quand il est traduit du finnois. Dans la communauté de Nurmijärvi où j’habite, il ya une petite colline appelée Taabor. Pendant l’été, il ya un theater d’été en plein air,une musée en plein air et des expositions d’art différents. En 2010, il y avait une exposition de l’Art marginal qui pourrait être admirée parmi les arbres dans les bois.

Mes 17 premières photos du musée Vous présentent quelques vieilles maison de l’intérieur et de l’extérieur. Le reste des photos montrent photos de l’Art marginal parmi les arbres.

  So nice that You found something interesting in this my post. Those cabin are historic really. Some are old houses and some are granaries. The place is interesting place and very popular during summer time when there is summer theater. Surroundings are really great.

The figure with the wheelbarrow with the flowers in it is the BEST! Love it! I also like the black bears and the figures made of metal, ingenious!

  Thank You. That figure with wheelbarrow is so similar when in the 1920 or 1930 old men at country side had their appearance. Short men and hard work. I feel when looking at these that art has no borders, only imagination can restrict and what is the best humour.

What a great series of photos and what a great idea the outdoor museum and art is! The buildings and contents are so interesting and I could study them for quite some time. I love the figure with the wheelbarrow, and especially the bears. It’s good to see history, art and gentle humor on display together!

Very interesting sculptures. I always love wooden art, but are the silver figures made of metal? I think they are my favourites, especially the horse and riders. They look quite complicated.

  Thank You. Those metal figures are made from so called “tin plate”. At first when I saw them, I thought that they were presenting Don Quixote and Sancho Pancha; soon I understood that I was wrong. I tried to guess what they are presenting when memorizing our history and literary, but I could not solve.

Interesting pictures. I love those old building at the top. I wouldn’t mind staying in some of those.

As far as your question on my blog…..Yes, that is the Pike’s peak where they drive race cars up the road…I believe around July 4th.

  Neither me would not mind to stay in them, because they are really historic houses. Thank You answering my question concerning Pikes Peak. Finnish Rally pilot Ari Vatanen made history when he made a record 1988 driving Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 which had more than 600 hp and the car weighted less than 900 kg / 1322 lb. The car was equipped with 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering, giant spoilers. That was just why I asked You about Your photos from Pikes Peak.

Finnish wood is so enchanting!
It’s like a fairy tale.
I bet it looks best in snow.
The sculptures are funny.
I like the bear ones! Ha ha…
