  9. Your wife’s photos are as beautiful as the bracelets and necklaces that she showed. Were all of those beaded objects that she had made?

    Comment by seniorhiker — May 17, 2013 @ 16:16 | Reply

    • Hi George.

It was collection of beads what all the ladies made on the course. Some are unfinished and some ready-made. My wife continued to finish off them at home. She was very satisfied with the course which gave new ideas to continue beading.

      Happy Saturday!

  24. I liked this post a lot, Matti, because I used to do beadwork with the tiny seed beads. I saw a couple of bracelets with the same pattern I used to use. I started getting repetitive motion strain in my wrists and had to stop the bead work. Is your wife still doing bead work? Perhaps you can post some pictures of her latest creations>

    Comment by Heart To Harp — May 22, 2013 @ 21:21 | Reply

    • Hello Janet.

Thank You for Your kind comment. Very interesting that You have been beading also. Tiny beads require a lot of work; that I have noticed. When photographing them, it is not easy to show to visitors how tiny they are. I remember when I put a coin of one Euro for comparison in some of my post. Yes, my wife has made few indeed. We have been quite busy in our new home town when studying it more thoroughly by walking and bicycling.

Tomorrow I continue presenting my home town with more winter photos.

      Have a great day!

  26. Would love to learn how to make such pretty jewellery Sartenada 🙂

    Comment by Madhu — May 24, 2013 @ 15:07 | Reply

    • Hi Madhu.

My wife bought a bead magazine and started beading that way. Later she was lucky to pass a course. Now here in our new home town there are no beading courses and she is sad. There is only one summer course in Finland, but the teacher is the same as last summer was not inspiring. So buy magazines or books. There are huge amount of them. Start with big beads.

      Here is one instruction:

How to make a beaded bracelet?,

but is intended for non beginners. Anyway they are beautiful.

      Happy week-end!

  30. Wow, there are some beautiful pieces of beadwork here! That first photo piece is amazing! Also the tiny leaf-like one or the one at the top of the set on the table: with repeating four lines and tightly packed circular shape in the second photo, you definitely can benefit from hands on, personal instruction. Great work, both in the beading and in the photography!
