When driving around in my country one can meet some oddities. On somebody’s courtyard there was art, hmm or is it art, but strange things made from plates, chains and bolts. I had to stop my car and take some photos.
These photos are taken on May 2006. My camera was my second digital camera from 2005 with 8.3 pixels.

Wow, those are great! Even though he used a rather strange medium, the creator of those is a true artist!

Tell us more – are these made by a sculptor/artist? I like the ones made from chains, like the mermaid, Pegasus and eagle. Normally I prefer wooden sculptures outside, but I could look at these if they were in my garden.

Hello Jackie.
Okay, I tried to find out all what is told from this place in my language, but there was info so scanty. On one page it was said that the place is: “forge museum of blacksmiths”. No more. This place is on a way to the only one convent we have here.
I like also very much about mermaid, Pegasus and eagle as You too. So nice to hear that You liked these.

Thanks Matti, if it is some sort of blacksmith’s workshop then that would explain it. Very interesting blog.

Good evening, Matti
It is very interesting to see what artists can create, from plates, chains and bolts. Dagobert Duck and Goofy are known to me as comic figures. About the winged horse, there is also an interesting history. The mermaid on the rock, could represent the Lorelei. Under: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorelei you will find information about it. The large dinosaurs look very colorful. I think it takes time and patience to produce such Sklupturen. It is admirable. I am grateful that I could look at this page. I wish you and Anja all the best for your health and daily ways.
e-mail follows. Dear greetings Christel

Hello Christel.
So nice to read that You liked these also. I know something from Lorelei. The name is known here. We have not made car travel along Rhein, only along Mosel.

Maravillosas esculturas que parecen pensadas para integrarse en el bello paisaje finlandés.
Un saludo cordial
