  1. Mais ils sont partout !!
J’espère que ceux en chair et en os ne sont pas non-plus menacés d’extintion.
    Est-ce qu’il y a une légende ou une croyance attachée à ces sculptures ?

  3. Thanks for the photos, (and the nice comment on my cycling Holland photos). I am hoping to get to Finland for the first time in 2010, and will look out for some of the places you have photographed. Best wishes, Richard

  4. Some years ago, in Helsinki, I bought for forty or so USD, a small wooden bear, the only marking on the bottom of one foot is “Penna”…any information would be apprecaited….It is the kind of bear that if placed right will roll and upright itself. Thanks Again, Bert Zackim, USA

      • Some years ago I posted a request for “Penna”, a Finnish company that made wooden bears. I bought one in Helsinki in 2001 for forty USD. Yesterday, here in new york i found a peddlers table near a flea market another one, unstained, for five USD……fabulous, and merely by chance I google my name and found my posting. Sartenada thanks so much, it is the exact site I was seeking.
Regards from the USA and New York. Bert Zackim

        • Hello Augie.

You are welcome. I am so glad that You told the “continuation” of bears. Wooden, carved bears are here really popular. When I star my posts telling my holiday beyond the Arctic Circle in next January, then You’ll see more fabulous carved bears.

          Happy Tuesday!
