Some years ago, in Helsinki, I bought for forty or so USD, a small wooden bear, the only marking on the bottom of one foot is “Penna”…any information would be apprecaited….It is the kind of bear that if placed right will roll and upright itself. Thanks Again, Bert Zackim, USA

Some years ago I posted a request for “Penna”, a Finnish company that made wooden bears. I bought one in Helsinki in 2001 for forty USD. Yesterday, here in new york i found a peddlers table near a flea market another one, unstained, for five USD……fabulous, and merely by chance I google my name and found my posting. Sartenada thanks so much, it is the exact site I was seeking.

So interesting about the bears! I am looking for a very small wooden carved bear – my daughter brought me one from Finland and I would like to find one for her, she has wonderful memories of a semester at university in Finland. If I can send a photo is it possible to find a bear like the one she got for me? Lillian
