Made on courses
These things have been made on courses by ordinary people. Our winter is long and dark. All of the people do not want to look at their television all the time, but they want to learn new things on many courses because people are not lazy. Therefore, they go on some adult education colleges once a week during autumn, winter and spring. When all the different types of courses finish, then there is an exhibition in April.

Wow there are amazing hand made things. A great idea to attend courses and learn new skills. It shows huge talent of people and they probably even didn’t know it. Another good idea is to show it off at the end. Super Hand made gallery.

Hello Marion.
Thank You. I am glad that You oved these. Many years ago my wife started quilting and she inspired very much when having her quilt in this kind of exhibitions. The model was from the Azores. You have never seen her quilt or the bag she has quilted. There are three photos totally from her quilt of which one showing her with the quilt. One bag photo. Later she started beading and they are gorgeous, but it is another story.
Quilting and patchwork.
Have a wonderful day!

Our adult education colleges are great, we see the results in the photos. What we don´t see in the photos is those hundreds of people all over Finland sitting in classrooms studying languages. These colleges are such an interesting way to study, you are able to study after work, no age limits, and the variety of possibilities is huge.

Hello Kristiina.
You are right. It was in Mikkeli where learnt Portuguese. We had awesome Brazilian Lady who made us to learn and we were happy that she thought Brazilian Portuguese. It is pronounced in different way, than Portuguese in Portugal. We noticed that in Madeira, people did not love us, because our pronunciation was not “correct” according to their minds. Well, it happens. Thank You commenting.

It’s an extremely good dea to spend the dark winter time by attending courses and learning new skills. Impressing to see that they offer such a lot of different courses – and even more to see the results! Amazing what people created!
I enjoyed very much discovering this rather special insect. This interesting beetle with long feelers! Among the other works I had a longer look at the fishes, the bird made of wire netting,, the reverse paintings on glass as well as the other paintings on canvas.
I’m glad that they had such an exhibition at the end and would like to thank you very much for showing various exhibits. Great!
Have a nice week, Matti. – Michèle

Each and every artist’s expression is a language. I love to see how humans are talented, letting themselves be caught from fantasy or reality. This type of art is more enjoyable since you use only your eye to look at… letting the feelings inside you wander. The writing or the music is different, the first, you need much more time to appreciate since you need to read first; the second, is evolving on different stages, always depending on the composer, the instrument, and the musician… but the environment where the musical piece is heard, plays as well a great deal. 🙂 claudine

Comment by Leena — April 13, 2018 @ 20:27 |
No eipä löytynyt “muokkaa kommenttia” nappulaa – olisin tuon unohtuneen oikoluvun tehnyt ja korjannut kirjoitusvirheet !
Comment by Leena — April 13, 2018 @ 20:39 |
Korjasin yhden kirjoitusvirheen. Toivottavasti hyväksyt. Matti.
Comment by Sartenada — April 14, 2018 @ 08:02 |
Hei Leena.
Oli mukavaa, kun kävit täällä ja kommentoit. Minun sukututkimus on tehty pari vuotta sitten. Pohjamalleja on upeita, parhaat toki maksaa. Mikäli haluat “menestystä” kansainvälisesti, niin englanniksi. Menestystä DNA:n parissa.
Kaikkea hyvää.

Thank You. It is wonderful system. For example, my wife learnt there quilting and beading. Both of us learnt Portuguese. I always admire those people who can create with hands beautiful things. This system is everywhere in Finland, even in smallest towns and villages. In big towns there are 200-300 different courses available.
Happy Sunday!
