  1. Good morning, Matti
I am very excited about this patch work articles. The blankets I really liked it. At best, I liked the patterns on the images seven and eight. If you scroll from bottom to top, you’ll see what pictures are. The patterns of these two blankets, are to my taste. All items are very nice and they gave you colored, brilliantly reflected. In addition, it was decorated very tastefully. I am grateful that I could look at it. The design of your blog is very exemplary, welcoming and tastefully decorated. I will continue to try to visit your blog. I wish you and your wife good luck and health to your daily routes. Dear greetings Christel

    • Thank You Christel.

I am very flattered about Your comment. What is best, is that You liked about one of my wife’s patchwork and that is just number eight. This model my wife noticed when we were on our holiday on 2005 at Azores in Ponta Delgada. My wife started to draw the pattern, but I said to she that I take photos. When in home, she started to plan it by drawing it carefully, making exact calculations and so on. I remember very good whe she was making it in our bed while looking television (our TV is in bedroom). And finally it was ready to be shown at April show of our adult education collage. She needed for it 700 pieces.

      Greetings.

P.S. If You take a look at photo number 11, so be aware that is made from 7000 pieces! The lady who made it, said that it took two years to make it.

  2. Re-bonjour Matti,

  3. Impressive! I love the contrast in number 8 and number 17 looks so cozy – is it a runner for a table or a blanket?

  5. Beautiful quilts (and lovely photography). I have made similar watercolor quilts too and have been interested in the leaf photodying (I’m not really sure what that technique is called). Very striking!

    • Hi Tanya.

I am so glad that You liked my photos and these quilts. I know that leaf technique. It gives nice results. Thank You for Your visit and leaving comment.

    • Salut Isa.

      Cordialement. Matti.

  7. There are always such treasures to find at quilt fairs, Matti. Your wife’s work is beautiful – here as in the beading. I’m particularly drawn to the quilts in the first images, which seem to be based around sun print images onto fabric, then embellished with stitch before being joined together in patchwork. Very pretty!

    • Hi Janice.

How glad I am that You did find something interesting in my post. Anja learned and made some of sun print works, but I have not photos here. That quilt number eight that model we took in Azores. Original was not so colorful.

      Have a lovely day!

  11. This quilting s magnificent Matti. Your wife is very talented. In the U.K. many adult education courses have been axed due to cuts in services even though participants still need to pay to attend classes. It is such a shame as learning new skills is much better than sitting indoors every evening watching television and as well as learning a new handicraft you are meeting new people and getting out. Thanks for bringing this post to my attention Matti.

    Comment by Little Miss Traveller — March 27, 2018 @ 10:26 | Reply

    • Hello Marion again.

I am very glad that You loved these quilts. The quilt made by my wife is still is still in “active” service on our second sofa. Underneath of it, there is the crocheted bedspread by my late mother.

      Thank You.
