Great photos of the bears carved out of wood! Here in western Canada, you would find lots of these sculptures often done with a chainsaw.

The carvings of these bears are beautiful. I admire the skill and craftsmanship of the artists! It appears the carvings are made from a single tree, it is amazing! Thank you for sharing, I am happy to meet these bears today.

  Thank You for Your visit and comment. I love also those bears which climbed u the trees. I guess that they are easy to make. I saw for the first time already when I started to shoot digital photos nearby the place where I spent my childhood. Maybe my inspiration started then when shooting first carved animals.

You obviously have many talented artists in Finland. I especially enjoyed the photos showing cubs climbing a tree. I haven’t seen any wooden carved bears around here, although some of our neighbors are reporting that they have seen real bears wandering around. I just hope they don’t get too much closer to our house!

Hello Matti, seems you met a large bear family. ^^ I remember former post about the gorgeous carvings which I liked a lot! It’s nice to see such a variety of bears this time. The one with the accordion … tell me, did Anja perhaps try to find out whether he is ticklish under his chin?
I also like the impressive bird looking down from the roof.
We just returned from the North Sea. We spent a couple of days not too far away from our home and are rather glad that all things turned out well despite poor health and all restrictions related to that. Even husband’s guest appearance at the local dialysis station went quite well.
Sending you greetings now from home again and hope you had a fine day.

  Yes, she tried to tickle it. 🙂 I am glad that You visited the North Sea and thus made a trip. It was nice to hear that there were not problems for Your husband. I continue with my prayings for help. We have never visited the North Sea, but the northern areas of Germany. When on a road trip, we have visited the Island of Fehmarn and some other areas like Timmerdorf Strand, Plön, Heiligenhafen. I remember very well the island of Fehmarn, because Anja’s car (Opel Vectra C) was brand new and many people studied it there. Thank You for Your lovely comment.

Love these. I have a collection of small wooden carvings that I have picked up here and there over the years. Folk art is so beautiful and unique to me.
