Holy smoke – Gathering of mobile Saunas. Part2.

Can You imagine that there exist Saunas on wheels? Can You imagine that they meet every summer? I guess that nobody. Since 2005 in Teuva there has been organized mobile Sauna gathering. In 2016 they were cancelled. When You see my photos, You might say in Your mind that ‘they are crazy those Finns’. Imagination has been free when planning and building mobile Saunas. Delightful is that the idea had spread abroad, which was touchable, because there were also Saunas, from Poland, Italy and Germany. My post is in two parts.

Many Saunas were warmed up, because smoke was coming from chimneys and afternoon there were possibility to have a Sauna in them.

Teuva – where? Nearby the western coast in south Ostrobothnia. Distance from Helsinki is 381 km / 267 mi and from Oulu 404 km / 251 mi. When? Last weekend in July. We visited there on Saturday July, 27 2017. Was it worth of road trip? Yes. Next year it will be Your summer happening target in Finland. ¿Podes vos imaginar que existen Saunas sobre ruedas? ¿Podes vos imaginar que se reunirán cada verano? Supongo que nadie. Desde 2005 en Teuva se ha organizado la reunión de Sauna móvil. En 2016 fueron cancelados. Cuando vos ves mis fotos, podrías decir en tu mente que ‘están locos esos finlandeses’. La imaginación ha sido libre al planear y construir Saunas móviles. Es muy deleitable que la idea se había extendido en el extranjero, que era emotivo, porque también había Saunas, de Polonia, Italia y Alemania. Mi puesto está dividido en dos partes.

Muchas Saunas se calentaban, porque el humo provenía de chimeneas y por la tarde había posibilidad de ir a la sauna en ellas.

Teuva – ¿dónde? Cerca de la costa occidental en Ostrobothnia del sur. La distancia desde Helsinki es 381 km / 267 millas y desde Oulu 404 km / 251 millas. ¿Cuando? El pasado fin de semana de julio. Visitamos allí el sábado 27 de julio de 2017. ¿Merece la pena de viaje por carretera? Sí. ¿El próximo año será su destino de verano en Finlandia? Pouvez-vous imaginer qu’il existen des Saunas sur roues? Pouvez-vous imaginer Ils se réuniront régulièrement chaque été? Je suppose que personne. Depuis 2005, à Teuva, un rassemblement de sauna mobile a été organisé .Bien que n 2016, ils ont été annulés. Lorsque vous voyez mes photos, vous pourriez dire dans votre esprit que ‘ils sont fous de ces Finlandais. L’imagination était sans limites lors de la planification et de la construction de Saunas mobiles. C’était un plaisir que l’idée s’est propagée à l’étranger, ce qui était émouvant, car il y avait aussi des Saunas, de Pologne, d’Italie et d’Allemagne. Mon post est en deux parties.

Beaucoup de Saunas ont été réchauffés, parce que la fumée venait des cheminées et l’après-midi, il y avait la possibilité d’aller au sauna.

Teuva – où? A proximité de la côte ouest du sud de l’Ostrobotnie. La distance de Helsinki est de 381 km / 267 mi et d’Oulu 404 km / 251 mi. Quand? Dernier week-end de Juillet. Nous avons visité là le samedi 27 juillet 2017. Cela en valait-il la peine de faire un voyage sur la route? Oui. L’année prochaine, ce sera votre objectif d’été en Finlande? A imaginação foi gratuita ao planejar e construir saunas ambulantes. Delicioso é que a idéia foi se espalhando para o estrangeiro, o que era comovente, porque também havia Saunas, da Polônia, Itália e Alemanha.

Muitas saunas foram aquecidas, porque a fumaça vieram de chaminés e a tarde existia a possibilidade de ter uma sauna nelas.

It is a fun event. I heard that the Finnish people liked the sauna. I think that it is good for the body in winter but do you often use it even in the summer?

  Thank commenting. Sauna is good round the years. We have Sauna since our childhood. Yet today although we live in Helsinki in an apartment building, we have our own Sauna, which we use normally on Saturdays. Saturday is a traditional day to go to Sauna, but in towns, it varies, because in old apartment building, there are only Saunas of the housing cooperative, but in private apartments as we have in a new apartment, we have our own. Have You ever been to Sauna?

Hello. Summer in Finland is enviable. In western Japan, 35 ° C continues for nearly two months.

All of these are very creative, but I especially like the one made from the combine. Of course, the sauna that uses the lift is also unusual and innovative. A lot of people used their imaginations and skills to make wonderful mobile saunas.

Hello Matti, also your second set of photos contains a lot of surprising designs and constructions! 🙂 I enjoyed it as much as the previous one and would like to test the rather convincing shower that I discovered on one of your photos. ^^
The owners really show inventiveness and creativeness. Thinking of our often fussy German authorities I wonder if it’s difficult to get an official permission to be on a public road with these rather particular vehicles (?).

  Thank You commenting so nicely. One of our favorite was combine harvester. My wife loved also the ink Sauna. All three first photos I took from the roof of German Sauna from Berlin. The owner showed to us how to use shower using the crank manually.

  Thank You commenting. Tall ships are always worth for visiting. Those camper vans are Saunas on wheels. In Finland we have 3.2 million saunas. Nearly every apartment has their own Saunas! Then we have lakeside saunas in 502 900 summer cottages. That is a lot of Saunas and the number of lakes is 187 888. 🙂
