  10. Lovely – does the last crystal have a shadow or is it a ghost of a crystal past?

    Comment by womanseyeview — February 2, 2016 @ 14:31 | Reply

    • Hello Carol.

Thank You. I think that it is a shadow. These were not so easy to photograph, because I had to find different angles. I took them freehand using zoom lens and finally cropping them.

      Have a wonderful day!

  19. So, so beautful!! I love them! What a marvel of nature! I didn’t see many since my childhood since the insulated glass windows of our days hardly ever show them in winter. I only noticed some on my car windscreen last year – but very simple forms not such beautiful forms and shapes and sparkling like yours, Matti.
I have to look at them again….

    Have a nice week!

  35. These are beautiful Matti. I’m surprised to read that you haven’t seen this before, though. A blogfriend of mine in Montana, USA, photographs beautiful ice crystals every winter – including ones that grow on plants and look like leaves. Of course, here in England it’s never cold enough for this but I would love to see it for myself.
