  It is fun! Those sleighs are made for this kind of happenings. Why not to come to Oulu February Saturday 17, 2018. On that day, there is Reindeer race for everyone. It is free. This kind of happening is “once in a lifetime”. 🙂 Race starts at 14:00.

It’s wonderful to see youngsters having fun outside in the snow. Over here playing on electronic devices is often the only activity young people practice. The smiles on the faces of the children in your photos are marvelous.

  - There is snow in the southern states, but only like your photos in the Australian Alps. Sometimes snow will fall elsewhere but it has to be much colder than usual for that to happen.

The last photos of the baby with the laughing face is adorable! Delightful post with all the happy faces,and beautiful reindeer. Those sleds thingy with handles looks like something I would like to try! Thanks for sharing.🙂

  Those sleds thingy with handles are called kicksled. These are modern models and I have not tested them. I have had and many other Finns Traditional kicksleds, have had them. In my childhood.
  
  In my youth, even my dog with harness, made by my mother, pulled me in a kicksled. Thank You for Your comment.

Wonderful to see all the children cheerfully playing in the snow. No matter if trying these “snow scooters” (first pictures), if doing a little sledge ride with the reindeer in front or if sliding on these plastic seat pans. :))
I promptly had to think of my little granddaughter who would enjoy it and would laugh just like the little child wearing the green snow suit (your last two pictures). Most probably It would be rather difficult or even impossible to leave this area and the reindeer again. ^^

  First photo show modern kicksleds. When I was young, I had a traditional kicksled. My mother made a harness to my dog and Saku pulled me around here and there. Those were the days. Here are two old photos from my dog.

On your first pictures you really appear as as team.       Thank You for Your kind words. They warmed my mind very much. These photos are from the period of my life, when I was 10 – 22 years old. We moved from Helsinki to countryside to a small village near to the town called Varkaus. Saku was a mongrel of two Finnish dogs: Finnish Spitz and Karelian Bear Dog. Guess, if it was wise. Because being the only one in my family, I gave all my love to Saku and vice versa. Now later I could say, that Saku read my thoughts. Then something sad happened to Saku, which I cannot tell here.
      
      In Varkaus, there is a special museum. This old post is in German also made by the German owner Pavel Kempf.
      
      Mechanical Music Museum .

  No on se modernisoitunut todella. Minulla oli lapsena perinteinen potkukelkka, jota veti talvella koirani Saku valjaissa. Oli se menoa. Muutaman kerran lensin hankeen komeasti, kun Saku kääntyi vauhdilla sivutielle. 🙂 Kiitos kommentista.

  Thank You commenting. The town of Oulu is in the middle of Finland (south – north). It is beautiful town in summer also. In winter, there is snow guaranteed. The town itself offers great possibilities of biking, even in winter.

      J’ai un excellent dictionnaire, avec 108000 mots à rechercher et 95000 exemples. J’ai aussi 1500 livres en français pour trouver plus d’expressions, mais je ne fais que baragouiner le français. Le petit Robert trouve aussi patinette, mais dans ce cas, c’est mieux trottinette, je pense. 😉
