3D Origami

In English:

Origami comes from two words. ORI mean Folding and GAMI means Paper. What is 3D Origami? It means that You need identical folded paper pieces, to assemble them together which can tricky. One sheet of copy paper A4 gives 32 folded paper pieces. Using colorful papers to build 3D Origami gives countless number of possibilities to build items in which the imagination is the only limit.

My wife made five very basic 3D origamis. She emphasized to me that these are no “masterpieces”, but experiments. She made one paper swan, two paper flower vases, one paper plate and one jewellery box. After photos I give video links in which You can see how all these are made. Before these video links, I give links how 3D Origami are folded.

Mi esposa hizo cinco origamis 3D muy básicas. Destacó a mí que estos no son “obras maestras”, pero los experimentos. Ella hizo un cisne de papel, dos floreros de papel, un plato de papel y una caja de joyería. Después de las fotos me voy Vos dar enlaces de vídeo en la que se puede ver cómo todo esto se hacen. Antes de que estos enlaces de vídeo, doy enlaces cómo se pliegan 3D Origami.

En francais:

“Origami” is Japanese word. And, one of Japanese unique traditional arts.(Not 3D)
It is the art of folding a sheet of paper into various figures such as birds, animals and many other things without using scissors or paste. Colored sheets of paper which are cut in a square shape are used for this.
Yes, I can make some animals and things by “Origami”. Very popular ones is “crane”.

  Very nice to read that You knew 3D Origami and that Your mother of Your husband has made them. Well, You are not the first thinking that Sartenada is my wife. It is very understandable, because in many languages words ending with a, are feminine and words ending with o, are masculine. Translators give its meaning in English: “1.   Thank You. Well, my native language is Finnish and in school I learned also German and Swedish. I understand both of them, but not being able to blog in them. When I started blogging in WordPress, I considered in which languages to blog. Finally I decided to use English, Spanish and French. Now I have studied two winters Portuguese, so I added it also.
  
  Why these languages? They cover huge amount of people in our worlds and I wanted to present to them my “unknown” country showing landscapes, historical places, culture, habits and handcrafts etc. My wife has been great help for me, because she has been beading and quilting.
  
  Spanish has been great success if checking where my visitors did come. Why not in Finnish? My opinion is that everyone Finn knows his / her county and thus not telling to them things which they know already before is not necessary.
  
  I have been “international” in my work life and thus this is natural continuation to write in many languages.

I just keep looking again and needing to express more. I think the jewelry boxes are my favorites, although all are exquisite. And, can you tell me more about the table they sit upon? It, too, is an object of great beauty. I am intrigued by both your blog and your wife’s work. You show the same precision and love of detail in your blog that she shows in her art.
