These are absolutely stunning. What happens if it rains?
Comment by Sue Slaght — August 29, 2014 @ 07:07 |
Hi Sue.
Thank You loving my photos. You asked: “What happens if it rains?” Nothing. Those who make them have a “secret” and thus these can be admired all the summer; nearly three months.
Happy Friday!
Comment by Sartenada — August 29, 2014 @ 10:54 |
Oh that’s good as it would be a shame if they ‘melted’ in the rain.

I felt wonderful music from your pictures.

Comment by Misa — August 31, 2014 @ 14:28 |
Hi Misa.
Thank You commenting. My personal sand carving which I love very much is C-cassette. It is the third from the end. I still have more than 100 Compact cassettes and three portable radios in which I can listen to them. Dearest to me are those C-cassettes in which I have saved music from radio stations when I travelled in South and Central America in the seventies. To record music from local radio stations was easy on travel; open the radio and to push record button. Modern technology does not offer anything like this simple method. What a pity!
Have a great start of new week.

Hello George.
I am very glad that You liked my photos. This summer I was lucky because the weather was cloudy. First I thought that sunny day is the best weather to shoot photos, but soon I realized that clouds make it easy to vary shoohing angles.

Where do sand come from?

Yes indeed. In Finland we have sand everywhere. Maybe this summer’s sand is enough for next summer, but bring new sand is no problem

These are magnificent, aren’t they, Sartenada? I especially love the lion but there are so many brilliant sculptures. It’s like our FIESA in the Algarve, which is renewed every year. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

Hi Johanna.
Yes, they are indeed. I find artists who make these very professional. When we visited Algarve “hundred” years ago, then there was not “fiesa”. Now when learning Portuguese, Algarve might be great travel tare. Next spring we visit Funchal.
