In English:

Day7 (Thurdsay, September 05, 2013). Distance: Round trip 71km / 41.4mi. Temperature: morning 7.0ºC /44.6ºF and evening 19ºC / 66.21F. Route: Muonio-Pallastunturi-Muonio.

This post is direct continuation of previous post. After conquest of the Palkaskero fell, we decide to make another hike on same day, because we felt that we are in good condition. We drove to the parking place of Särkitunturi (roach fell). Its height is 492 meters / 1614 feet and its path to the top is very popular in Muonio. The beginning of the walk has trees on the both side of the path. Slowly trees become less frequent and man can admire the scenery around. On the top there is a pond, hut and campfire.

We enjoyed the rest of coffee from our thermos bottle and admired the scenery around us, which has been selected as Finland’s national landscape. The total length of this hike was 12 kilometers / 7.5 miles. When calculating the total length of hiking we made this day, it is 19.5 kilometers / 12.1 miles. Is it much or not everyone can decide when remembering that we ate only our picnic lunch, which Anja made already in the morning. When finally arriving to our base in the center of Muonio, we were hungry. Guess, if we got any sleep the next night!

En español:

Día 7 (Jueves, 05 de septiembre de 2013). Distancia: 71 kilometros de ida y vuelta / 41.4mi. Temperatura: 7.0 º C por la mañana / 44,6 º F y por la tarde de 19 º C / 66.21F. Ruta: Muonio-Pallastunturi-Muonio.

Votre commentaire chauffe mon coeur. Merci beaucoup.

    • Hello キース.

Thank You. Yes there are windows. This small cabin is intended for “stop and go” place. So when hiking one has possibility to spend time in it, to rest or to eat and of course to meet fellow hikers.

I thought long time if I tell my age and I decided to do it because I wanted people to appreciate our active life. Well, Paris was nearly the same as it was in 2004 when we visited it last time. The weather was not at its best, but we enjoyed our visit. I wish to You also health and strength.

          Happy Thursday!
