  Thank You for Your kind words. It is quite an experience for us to live beside of the lake (Saimaa). Balconies are practical, because they have glasses which make it possible to stay in them until the winter comes.

Your balcony is perfectly located for capturing sunsets. The colors in the sky are fantastic, and I like the way you have also captured the reflection of the color in the water of the lake as well. All of these photos are gorgeous.

  That is right. Its direction is to the South and to the West. These photos are to the West. The old wisdom is yet true today when shooting photos: “to be at right place at right time”.

  Thank You. For the first time, it was my wife who told to me when returning to home from German language courses, that there is gorgeous sunset. So we went immediately to our balcony and so I shot first sunset photos.

Wow!! Fantastic pictures!! Last monday i was looking at the sky and even tried to take pics with my mobile, cause it was so beautiful…but certainly any of my pics came like that.. Thanks for sharing!!

  Thank You praising my photos. I think that better results are possible only by using SLR (single-lens reflex) camera. My camera is from the year 2008 Nikon D300 (DX format digital single-lens reflex camera). Its lens is excellent and it is fast. I have had taken nice photos from a fast moving train when returning to home after shooting photos from world’ biggest snow castle.

  Vivo en 61°41′15″N! Well, generally speaking Mikkeli is “South” to see them. Occasionally they have been seen, but not me. When travelling to the Arctic Circle and to the North of it in Winter is possible to see them often, I think.

  All these photos are original, no color changes. In 2013, I was lucky to shoot photos from gorgeous sunsets. Maybe You remember my post presenting Koli national park where my wife showed Youga on its top.

      No problems; every one of us have our own rushes. Well, what comes to the view from our balcony, I can say that we love it. The Lake Saimaa is only 20 meters from our balcony and the house itself about 10 meters. During summer small ships, boats and motor boats pass to Mikkeli and from it. In Mikkeli there is marina / port.
      
      I am not sure, if You have seen photos from our house, but here You have:
      
      Walking on frozen lake.
      
      As You see in photos, the place is fantastic. BTW, new houses are built near to us and they will, be ready in 2015/2016. Welcome to move to Mikkeli. 🙂

        So nice to read it. We lived on countryside having our own house with small garden facing to the pine woods nearly twenty years. Sometimes man must change landscape and this small town is very active having excellent road connections to everywhere in Finland.
