    • Hi Lisa.

You got it. In our apartment house we have a balcony facing to the Lake Saimaa. My photo presented the lake to the right side and at left there a car park. To see reflections for the first in our glass balcony it was amazing.

      Have a great day!

    • Hi Tiny lesson blog.

Thank You. You are welcome. We will be after two weeks in Lapland in Muonio spending one week there. If weather conditions are good, then we make daily hiking on nearby fells from Muonio. Our return route will pass here:

      International coffee cup museum.

We leave to this unique museum in the world few of our coffee cups.

      Happy weekend!

        • Hi again.

I said three weeks, but two weeks is correct. Happy birthday to your! When in Tampere there is one “must exposition” = “The Terracotta Army and Treasures of the First Emperors of China“. It is open until the first of December and we’ll visit also during the autumn. If You have never visited Vapriikki in Tampere, then do it now. Its exhibitions are high class.

          Happy Saturday evening!

    • Hi Hayley.

Thank You. This area is very beautiful indeed. Around here and there, there are some small lakes and we are living only 20 meters from the bigger lake called Saimaa. When we were selling our “old” home we searched from Internet good new houses. In Mikkeli there was a building, which was ready to move in two months. Google Street View showed us that the area is indeed beautiful. Now after being here in Mikkeli nearly nine months, we are yet pleased with our new home. When looking out of windows and glass balcony the view over the lake Saimaa is very enjoyable. The Lake Saimaa is glimmering “under our feet”. In our apartment there is also Sauna for three persons, but we are only two persons. The doors are so wide, meaning that even disabled people can easily move around even in a wheelchair without any problems. Also shower glass doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. Apartment’s floor plan is planned / designed very well.

Thank You for Your kind comment.

      • I’d say you chose very well. Do most homes in Finland have a sauna? One of my partner’s best friends is married to a Finn whom Mike has gotten to know very well and he went to their wedding in Finland many years ago. Consequently, when we talk about our future dream home here it includes a Finnish sauna!

        Comment by hayley — August 22, 2013 @ 12:49 | Reply

        • Hi Hayley.

Thank You. Well, the amount of Saunas is huge. On countryside every house a Sauna. Every summer cottages their own Sauna also. What comes to apartments in cities or towns, it is about ten to fifteen years when man started to build Saunas in them. Saunas have spread around the world and people start to understand their meaning. Before blogging in WordPress, I knew a man who built his own Sauna according to the instructions in Internet. I had to say that it was a real Sauna finally.

Here are photos from our Sauna in our old home – with instructions to use:

          Finnish Sauna

          Have a great day!
