After a good night sleep and tasty breakfast, we started our day by climbing to the top of Kaunispää. Kaunispää is the most popular fell in this area. It can be reach by cars and by walking. We, of course, walked. My photos show what we saw on the way to the top and views from the top. Enjoy!

Después de dormir una buena noche y después de comer un delicioso desayuno, comenzamos nuestro día al subir a la cima de Kaunispää. Kaunispää es el más popular cayó nórdico en esta área. Thank You. I am glad that You noticed those “huge” doughnuts. 🙂 In Finland they are very popular, but normally they are smaller. Maybe they were big because people are walking up to the top of hill and they need energy as we did also.
Even more popular is so called Possumunkki or Munkkipossu. I could not find translated it into English, but the photo explains it very well.

Thank You. If I remember correct my wife bough something nice from souvenir shop. Inside those Possumunkki there is apple jam. When they just made and warm, then they are really delicious.

How wonderful to have coffee and buns when you got to the top! it looks like a great hike. I like the contrast between the forest and then the open area above the tree line. It looks like you can see forever.

The view from the restaurant are spectacular. I didn’t realize that there was such beauty above the Arctic Circle. I’m glad you walked to the restaurant — that’s what we would have done as well. I really like those little log cabins you passed along the way.

Thank You for Your interest in my post and leaving Your comment. Yes, in winter this is winter sport paradise having for example Slalom and Nordic Ski possibilities. In summer many guided nature paths begin here. It is cool place indeed.

Very enjoyable to see this series too, Matti! The forest scenes are very pretty and I love the cabins. I especially loved the thoughts of the ghost! If I ever become a ghost some day, I hope I will be like that one!

What comes to put milk in coffee, it varies to me. When I was working we had milk offered generally, but at our home we do not have. So, I learned to drink coffee with and without milk. But, but, when on travel, I take white coffee always, because on bars the coffee is not as tasty as I make it in our home. I have made coffee since my childhood and it was just my task to make coffee (incluido “Moliendo café”). My wife drinks coffee black, but with sugar. She used to put honey to coffee for many decades, but then she changed honey to sugar.
I did not descend by cable car, because it was not in use; only during winters for slalom skier; so I think.

This brought back fond memories. We used that chair lift and had lunch at that mountain restaurant most days. It was lovely and cosy with its roaring log fire!
