My photos are from 2008, 2009 and 2010. Every spring Helsinki is presenting American cars, old and new. Also in this happening there is car tuning show. Now You might think, if there is anything interesting to see. Answer is: Yes.

Have You ever seen Dragster with 7000 hp, or have You seen a car with motor of 27 liters / 1658.34 CIDs and “home made” by one man in his garage. What about photo from James Bond’s amfibio car Lotus Esprit from the movie “The Spy Who Loved Me” from the year 1981. Some exhibitors have good taste of humor and when looking some of my photos You cannot help smiling.

My favorite car was Shelby Cobra CSX from the year 1966 (3 three photos at the end). This car has 800 hp. With full heart I can say that it is the Car. Well, no more talks, I let my photos talk.

Mis fotos son de 2008, 2009 y 2010. Cada primavera Helsinki presenta carros americanos, antiguos y nuevos. También en esta evento hay una exhibición tuning de carros. Ahora usted podría pensar, si hay algo interesante para ver. La respuesta es: Sí.

¿Alguna vez has visto Dragster con 7000 caballos de fuerza, o has visto un coche con motor de 27 litros y hecha por un hombre. ¿Y que piensa Usted de la foto del carro de James Bond “Lotus Esprit” de la película ” La espía que me amó ” del año 1981. Algunos expositores tienen buen gusto del humor y al mirar algunas de mis fotos no se puede evitar una sonrisa.

Mi carro favorito era el Shelby Cobra CSX a partir del año 1966 (3 tres fotos al final). Este coche tiene 800 caballos de fuerza. Con el corazón lleno puedo decir que es el Carro. Bueno, no más de habla, dejo que mi fotos hablan más.

Mes photos sont à partir de 2008, 2009 et 2010. Chaque printemps, Helsinki présente voitures américaines, anciennes et nouvelles. Également il y a aussi “Tuning Show de voiture”. Maintenant vous pourriez penser, s’il ya quelque chose d’intéressant à voir. La réponse est: Oui.

Avez-vous déjà vu Dragster de 7000 HP, ou avez-vous vu une voiture avec un moteur de 27 litres et faite par un seul homme. Qu’en pensez-Vous quant à photo de voiture de James Bond Lotus Esprit du film L’Espion qui m’aimait ” de l’année 1981. Certains exposants ont le bon goût de l’humour et en regardant quelques unes de mes photos Vous ne pouvez pas empêcher de sourire.

Ma voiture préférée était Shelby Cobra CSX à partir de l’année 1966 (3 trois photos à la fin). Cette voiture a 800 hp. Avec plein coeur Je peux dire que c’est la Voiture. Eh bien, pas plus mots, je laisse mes photos parler.

This is a very enjoyable series! Gorgeous cars, and a trip back into memories for me. I remember when many of those American models first hit the streets.

  When I was young man, I saw in nearby car selling office’s window red Dodge Challenger. Then I thought, that some day I’ll get one, but I never got one. Here in Finland many people still after years likes the film “Vanishing Point” from 1971 in which movie Kowalski ( Barry Newman ) is delivering a supercharged 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T from Denver to San Francisco in 15 hours. I have seen it few times. Maybe, I do not know, this movie has inspired young people here to admire American cars. 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 was the hot model, with a 6276cc (383ci) V8 engine putting out 250kW / 335 hp. That’s a CAR as many of them I presented here!

it was a more than just, fantastic show. The evening is saved. I watched with enthusiasm this series. I am very satisfied with our car, but these cars are so gorgeous that they make me rejoice at the sight. Every single car is a delight. The fantastic colors and gloss are in your images, more than just great for expression. I share your enthusiasm and joy of this wonderful, cars. Unfortunately, it’s just a beautiful dream. But it is nice that it has such dreams. I am grateful that I could look at these beautiful cars. For your comments, I thank you sincerely. All the best for you and Anja.   Cars which we are using differs from these “dream” cars. Here in Finland many are building during long winter months these dream cars and when the summer comes, they are “cruising” in them. This kind of cruising is very popular in Helsinki on long “strand line boulevard”. That is some kind of life style.
  
  I still wonder in my mind how powerful car (800 hp) was that car from 1966 – unbelievable. Last winter I was asked to test drive a German car, Opel Insignia V6 turbo 2.8 liters (4*4) which had “only” 325 hp. That OPC was mighty to drive in bad winter weather (snow/ice) conditions, but when compating power of both cars, then it is still unbelievable that already in 1966, 44 years ago, some car makers made cars with 800 hp. The modern Ferrari 599 has only 670 hp! Ferrari rockets the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.35 seconds and the Shelby Cobra CSX from the year 1966 in 3.1 seconds. Simple conclution: American cars are great if we are thinking the power of cars!

This is a fantastic series !!! All these dream cars… My favorite has always been the Corvette 😉 But of course the mythical Lotus Esprit of 007 is also great !

  I love also Corvettes. In my country they have astronomical prices, so only money got from lottery could achieve my dream. Another dream car was when I was young Dodge Challenger R/T.

First of all thanks for the link to this post, appreciate it. Thats a really cool selection of photos, although most of the actual cars are not to my taste I must admit I did enjoy the yellow one, no idea what its called, plus I see there is a ZZ Top car…lol.
The real treasure in your collection is the Indian bike, brought back fond memories of when my Father used to have a collection of bikes.

  This post is one of my personal favorite. I love fast and power cars. When I was young I wanted to become a rally driver, but due to “missing” money my dream never realized.
