Village roads / Carreteras de pueblocito / Routes de village

My village roads in winter.

I like to stroll around daily and these photos I took during many days. Sometimes sun was shining, sometimes not. I am presenting few old wooden detached houses that You can have an idea about them also. Last seven photos are from my home.

  2. You have some amazing photos, my friend. Truly beautiful, but I find that while snow is beautiful in photos in reality it is terrible stuff, and cold; not at all conducive to drinking beer. Hence, I live in Rio and not Finland.

Thank you for the visit to my blog and the comment.

    • Hello Argentum Vulgaris.

Thank You visiting here in cold Finland and taking “a walking tour” with me. I am interested how You find my Samba photos.

  3. Gosh, Finland is so like this part of Canada. The wooden houses are very like those here too, I could be looking at Nova Scotia. I really love the snow and never tire of looking at it. But then I enjoy all the other seasons as well and look forward to each in turn. Keep showing those wonderful photos. Jackie

    • Hello Jackiequeen.

Interesting info You gave. Those houses reprensent old ones, but personally I like that old architecture. Did You find “too much power cables” as You said in one of Your posts?

      Happy Friday.

      • I like the architecture too. No, there were not too many power cables. Nothing like we have around our towns. We had electric poles in the country in Scotland, but not around the town streets any longer. I think it will be the same for you in Finland. It will just cost far too much money now to put all the power lines under the ground, but maybe one day.

    • Hello Preston.

Nice to read Your comment Preston. I am loading one by one my photos, because I want to put text below every photo and also some info when moving mouse pointer over a photo. The size of my photos is about 900 * 600.

  5. Good evening, Matti
all of these shots are beautiful and I am very excited about it. With or without the sun, it is a pleasure to look at these pictures. The snowy landscape is also colored, brilliantly expressed. The sun have a lot power in the pictures. The wooden houses in between, make everything look even more romantic. In Bavaria, I saw many years ago as much snow as your images. Here is everything thawed since yesterday afternoon and it’s all dull gray. I look forward to your next “Snow Pictures “!!!! However, I also like to look at the other images above. What I also noticed that the mailboxes are not attached to the houses, like here with us. I think in every region is different. My husband liked your pictures very well. We wish you and Anja, a beautiful evening, and your health on daily routes. I thank you for your nice comments and loyalty to my web page.
    Sincerely, Christel and Detlev

    • Guten tag Christel.

Your eye is very accurate, when You noticed that those mail boxs are grouped. Here where I live we four mail boxes together. Every morning I am taking “a small walking trip” to my mail box when I fetch our newspaper which we read in coffee table in the morning. By doing this way I know exeactly which kind of weather there is. Newspapers are coming into our mail box about five of clock in the morning and the real mail until 10 of clock. Nowadays old persons which are 75years old or more have possibility to receive their mail direct into houses. On countryside it serves them great, because many are dicky. This is real service here on country side, I think. Thank You making a walking tour “with me” thru my small village.

      Gruß.
